Looking for the best probiotic for anxiety?

How is Neurali MP different from a probiotic I can buy at the store?
Many probiotics on the market are dietary supplements and claim to support gastrointestinal function. Neuralli MP is different in two ways. It is a medical food, not a dietary supplement.
In addition, Neuralli MP, containing the probiotic L. plantarum PS128, is for the dietary support of specific neurological conditions such as autism, anxiety and depression. Studies of PS128 in autistic children, for example, have shown improvements in mood and attention, while a study in anxiety showed a reduction in reported anxiety.
Where can I find the clinical studies about PS128?
L. plantarum PS128, the active ingredient in Neuralli MP, has been clinically studied in Autistic people, as well as people with anxiety, depression, and Parkinson’s Disease. Summaries of the scientific research studies can be found here.
I have a medical condition. Can I take Neuralli MP?
As a medical food, Neuralli MP should be used under the supervision of your health care provider. Its active ingredient, PS128, has been studied in Autistic people and people with Parkinson’s, anxiety, and depression (see references here).
PS128 may play a role in modulating neurotransmitters such as dopamine and serotonin in some individuals. If you have concerns about this, please speak with your health care provider before starting or stopping Neuralli MP.

Does Neuralli MP interfere with SSRI’s?
We always recommend consulting with your health care provider before starting any new medical food, supplement, or medication. A recent study that looked at the use of L. plantarum PS128 in patients with anxiety disorders found that the combination of anti-anxiety medication and PS128 led to fewer adverse events than taking the SSRI on its own. However, your experience may differ. Please take Neuralli MP under the supervision of your health care provider.
