Inside the Pages of an Inclusive Neurodiversity Encyclopedia

Dear friend,

We just learned of a very unique encyclopedia quite unlike any other you may have encountered.

At first glance, it may seem like a regular encyclopedia—a largish index of terms and ideas following an A-Z format.

But if you cozy up with a cup of tea and open up to any page—you’ll find each entry contains a delicate, riveting balance of breadth and depth. You may even find yourself so engrossed that your tea goes cold and unsipped.

So does this encyclopedia accomplish this? We’ll get there, but first, we’ll tell you the what and the why.

What: Voices of Neurodiversity: An Inclusive Encyclopedia by neurodivergent author, academic, parent, and charity founder: Dr. Chris Papadopoulos.
Why: (Alluding to one of the author’s original inspirations for this book) To boldly go where no one has gone before (keep reading if you can’t guess where this reference comes from).

Voices of Neurodiversity is a groundbreaking project that blends academic rigor with emotional resonance with nuanced terms and narrative tact that exemplifies the neurodivergent rally cry “nothing about us without us.”

The project intended to create an academic resource by giving a voice to people who are often talked about instead of talked to. By bringing together 12 neurodivergent contributors from around the world, to define, discuss, and demonstrate the meaning and power behind over 380 key terms with real-life stories and experiences.

Bonus just for you: we got insider access into the mind of the author PLUS exclusive details from one of the book’s contributing authors (who also happens to be one of our contributing writers)—Ben Breaux!!
